About Us

The Foundations Project (TFP) aims to support the foundations of well-being through continuous learning and meaningful work. We provide customized learning services and resources through Foundations Learning Group and hands-on career coaching with resume and LinkedIn optimization through Foundations Career Consulting.

We believe that, above all, continuous learning and meaningful work set a solid foundation for growth and well-being. As the majority of our day is spent at work, making this time fruitful and fulfilling can significantly affect our lives in more ways than we know. Through learning about ourselves and the world around us—learning to improve our work, communication, relationships, the environment, health, and so much more—we can feel empowered and make informed decisions that better our lives and the world.

Customized Learning Services & Resources

Foundations Learning Group has established a structure that promotes effective teaching practices. A hybrid of (1) online platforms that allow teachers to work independently and (2) online schools that have specified guidelines, we provide an overarching framework, coordinate classes and payment, and serve as a resource for teachers while encouraging our experienced Learning Specialists to customize lessons that best support each student.

Over the last decade, I have worked with ~8 national resume-writing companies, outplacement organizations, small career development businesses, private career coaches, and boutique resume-writing firms in the U.S. and Canada. It has been so rewarding to help clients gain more confidence in their professional value and brand, transition into more fulfilling roles, and better support their families with $10K, $50K, and up to $80K salary increases. I still support clients across multiple organizations, and with Foundations Career Consulting, I offer unique services to clients looking for a more tailored, empathetic, long-term, and relational approach.

“How are people doing it?” “It” being surviving, managing, thriving.

Many years ago, as the realities of adulthood began to pile up, I found myself constantly asking this question. Like shakily handling the blocks of a Jenga tower, I tried to carefully balance each aspect of my life and avoid what felt like an inevitable avalanche of overwhelming responsibilities. Work. Relationships. Parenting. Money Management. Home Care. Car Maintenance. Self-Care. Personal Development. Professional Development. Community Work. Health. Fun. Sleep. It has felt and sometimes still feels like way too much.
What I found has helped calm my overwhelm is gaining more knowledge and leveraging this knowledge to make intentional investments in those crucial aspects of my life: my relationship with myself, with others, and with work.

My passions have always been in learning and communications. I love making continuous learning easy for others. I love writing and communicating in ways that are clear, impactful, and beautiful. I love making work and the process of finding meaningful work incrementally and exponentially better for as many people as possible. I have been fortunate to be able to combine these with The Foundations Project.

A University of Toronto alum, I specialized in professional writing, communications, and sociology. Dedicated to continuing education, I have completed numerous courses and obtained additional certifications in career coaching, teaching English as a foreign language (TEFL), phonics and reading, business planning, data analysis, marketing, LinkedIn optimization, and negotiation—a list that consistently grows.
